Antique Mahogany Side Table

Antique Mahogany Table.

Circa 1860, this antique side table has been handmade out of mahogany and is smaller than usual- also known as a 'Baby Sutherland'.

With six beautiful lathe turned legs, two act as gate leg supports for the top, the brackets underneath are dovetail jointed oak.

The oval top has drop leaf sides and a there is a lovely, subtle patina to the wood amongst the grain.

There is a large water stain, shown, and a small chip to the top missing- this does not detract from the charm and it is reflected in the overall price.

A real quality piece, the swinging legs have little brass castors on- this makes a beautiful antique piece for any home.
