Antique Satinwood Drawers

Antique Chest of Drawers.

These old Victorian drawers have been handmade out of satinwood which has developed a lovely patina from many years of use, they're a great rustic piece of decor for any home.

In overall good condition, there are some age related scuffs, historic repairs (two screws on one side to secure an interior support) and old wood worm- all shown and reflected in the overall price.

Still sturdy, the drawers themselves run smooth and the top brass key hole is missing- these have hand-cut dovetail jointed sides which have since been reinforced with screws and a decorative plinth to the front.

The wood has been treated with 'Everbuild Triple Action Wood Treatment' as an added precaution.

These drawers have a real primitive feel to them- the satinwood has a very similar appearance to old pine, it is less knotty and a denser grain, making the wood itself heavier and more durable.
