Carved Oak Foot Stool

Old Wood Step - Stool.

A truly beautiful piece, this antique foot stool has been handmade out of English Oak, and it is in great condition- it's very sturdy, so fully functional.

The top is an intricate carved floral motif which is complimented by the peg-leg sides- the chunky oak makes this quite heavy for it's size.

The wood has lots of scratches and marks and has developed a lovely patina from many years of use- I have lightly buffed the sides with a dark beeswax to emphasise the grain- the underside has a historic varnish.

Full of primitive charm, this makes a great gift as well as a lovely piece of vintage decor for any home.
