Antique Ironstone Meat Platter.
A rare piece of Old Willow, this beautiful platter is much smaller than usual making it an excellent addition to any collection, perfect for placing on a dresser shelf.
The design itself was first created in 1780 by British potter Thomas Turner and engraver Thomas Minton, who were inspired by traditional Chinese pottery.
Circa 1880s, the reverse is stamped with a greyhound and the mark "E. M & Co." - for Edge, Malkin & Co, makers who produced for Burslem Pottery.
There is a crack to the back of the plate, which is not seen from the front but is reflected in the overall price.
