Created onto a textured blue board using water colour paints, this lovely artwork depicts Ditchling Beacon, a large chalk hill which is the highest point of East Sussex.
In very good condition, the vibrant colours and loose brush strokes really bring this piece alive.
Painted by Hampshire based artist Dorothy Dean, 1920 - 2005, this piece was taken from part of her portfolio. Dorothy was a member of the Society of Women Artists and was best known for figure work, then in her later years she focused more on painting landscapes.
A lovely vintage addition to any home, this is great for placing upon a shelf or framed as an addition to a gallery wall.
