Freestanding Kitchen Larder Cupboard

Antique Pine Freestanding Cabinet.

A beautiful addition to any home, this vintage larder cupboard would be great as part of a free standing kitchen, used in a hallway or even as bathroom storage!

Handmade out of old pine and plywood- this has 4 internal shelves which are all fixed except for the second one down, others could easily be carefully removed if needed, as they are simply pinned in place!

Sat upon short legs, the inside has been painted in an off white which really compliments the pale pine.

The tall door is hinged on the right, there is a brass knob and latch to secure this shut- this has warped slightly towards the bottom (shown) but does not detract from the charm!

There is a degree of ancient wood worm to the front and sides- this has been treated with 'Everbuild Triple Action Wood Treatment' as an added precaution, but there are no signs of wood worm.

Still sturdy and full of character, the old wood is full of scuffs and marks, really adding to the unique patina.

I have lime waxed the exterior and buffed this with a natural bees wax to really nourish the wood- it's given the old pine a pale finish.
