Georgian Gate Leg Dining Table
Rustic Georgian Dining Table.
Circa early 1800s, this beautiful oval drop leaf table has been hand made out of oak, has tapered legs and pad feet.
The sturdy base is jointed oak and the gate leg hinges are a lovely detail- overall the wood has developed a beautiful patina from many years of use.
In overall good condition, there are some signs of wear- all which add to the charm! One foot has slightly broken (shown) and there are some old repairs to the top, including where the side leaf drops down, all of this is shown and reflected in the overall price.
There are signs of historic wood worm to the hinges, this has been treated with 'Everbuild Triple Action Wood Treatment' as an added precaution.
A sympathetic restoration, I have waxed this with a natural beeswax to protect the wood- full of primitive charm, this makes a great antique addition to any home.
