Georgian Drop Leaf Dining Table

Primitive Style Georgian Table.

Full of vernacular charm, this antique drop leaf table has been handcrafted out of oak which has developed a lovely subtle patina from many years of use.

Very sturdy, the straight legs are on wooden hinges which swing out- similar to gate leg style, and these are supported by a beautiful scalloped plinth either end.

Rather large in size, this rectangular table would comfortably seat 6 and even at a push 10- I have waxed this with a natural beeswax to protect the wood.

There are some historic repairs where the sides have been reinforced (shown) which does not detract from the character- this is a great piece of vintage decor for any home, this is perfect for a kitchen or dining room.
