Hand Painted Chinese Panel

Oriental Painted Panel.

Created out of a sheet of metal and reinforced with a wooden frame, this beautiful Chinese panel depicts a detailed bird, likely a cuckoo- perched upon a slim branch.

On the left of the branch, it is signed “J. Sathnarayan 1977” -  most likely part of a series of paintings originally displayed together in a row, this makes a lovely stand alone piece. 

Overall in good condition- there are some areas where the paintwork has chipped away (shown) but this is only on the background and does not detract from the charm. 

A delightful vintage addition to any home, this would be perfect as an addition to a gallery wall, hung in a hallway or even a bathroom.
