Primitive French Prep Table

Antique French Elm Cabinet. 

Crafted in France out of Elm wood, this provincial prep table has a wide plank top and useful cupboard storage space underneath. The small door is hinged on the right and has a simple latch which twists to keep it secure.

Circa early 1900s, this is in very good condition- the legs are sturdy and the wood has developed a striking patina from many years of use. I have lightly buffed this with a natural beeswax.

Also known as a peasants table, this makes a beautiful addition to any home- it's perfect as a side table, used as a free standing kitchen island or even a work bench.
