Antique 1 Pint Mochaware Tankard.
Circa 1860s, this beautiful old Mochaware mug has been well loved over the years- theres a historic repair to the handle and I think this was used as a pen pot due to the staining inside!
There are several hairline cracks to the lip and various chips to the base- The quality is reflected in the overall price.
A rare find, the pale blue glaze is complimented by the fern-like pattern, known as 'Seaweed', there is a stamped badge on the front that reads "PINT".
Originally created for use in pubs, these measured pitchers have since become a country home staple- perfect for displaying upon a shelf holding dried flowers.
