Antique Muffin Dish.
Originally used to keep food hot whilst serving, this beautiful old muffin tray was created in the Victorian Era and is compromised of three parts- a lid, a plate and a warming bowl.
The tin has developed a striking tarnished patina to the exterior- I have left this because it really adds to the charm, but inside is polished and clean. There are some subtle age related marks, shown.
The base is stamped with 'H & H, 8665"- Makers Hulkin & Heath used this mark from 1855 until 1904- they were known for their silverwork during the 1870s and 1880s.
A lovely piece of rustic decor for any home, this would be great as a butter keep or even cheese cloche!
