French Sugar Pot and Milk Jug.

A beautiful piece of vintage decor, this old milk jug and sugar pot set were created by St Clement Pottery and they are in excellent condition.

The milk jug has a large handle and scalloped pattern around the top and along the handle- this has been created with the traditional sponge ware technique. There is a rooster on the one side and simple painted flowers on the other.

The sugar pot has a large top and two small side handles- this also has the blue sponge-ware pattern and a rooster on either side.

Stamped on the base, each read "5023, St Clement France, Cocorico Peint a la muin" - the mark dates these to 1930.

Still functional- these also look great as decor displayed in the kitchen.
